Most truth questions fail for the same reason: they are too big to answer. "What is your biggest secret" gets you a shrug, because nobody can rank their own secrets on the spot. A good truth is narrow enough that the answer arrives immediately and specific enough that it is actually an admission. Every question below is built that way, and none of them appear on the main Truth or Dare page.

Questions people ask

What are good truth questions?

Narrow ones. A question that names a situation — a lie you repeat, a grudge you held, the worst advice you gave — produces a real answer. A question that asks someone to summarise themselves produces nothing.

Are these suitable for any group?

Yes. These are from the free Mild deck, which stays clean by design, so they work with friends, family or people you have just met.

What if someone refuses to answer?

Standard practice is that refusing means taking a dare instead. Agree the forfeit before you start rather than negotiating it when somebody is already cornered.
