60 Dares for Couples: From Silly to Genuinely Daring

2 Sept 2026

The problem with almost every list of dares is that it assumes a room. Half of them need witnesses, a third need props nobody owns, and the rest are variations on "text your ex", which is a bad idea presented as entertainment.

These sixty are written for two people at home, sorted by how far into the evening you are.

20 to start with

  • Do an impression of me until I guess what I do that annoys you.
  • Let me restyle your hair however I want and keep it for an hour.
  • Speak in a film-trailer voice until your next turn.
  • Show me the last five photos in your camera roll, no scrolling past.
  • Let me pick your outfit for the next time we go out.
  • Sing your next three answers.
  • Give me a genuine compliment every time I speak for five minutes.
  • Recreate our first date from memory, out loud, in detail.
  • Let me look at your most recent search history.
  • Do twenty press-ups while narrating them like a sports commentator.
  • Text a friend something sincere about me and show me the reply.
  • Draw me from memory in sixty seconds with your eyes closed.
  • Tell me your worst joke and commit to the delivery.
  • Let me choose what we watch next with no complaints.
  • Talk without moving your lips until I understand a full sentence.
  • Do your best dance to whatever plays next.
  • Give me a two-minute massage with no talking.
  • Say three things you are grateful for, none about me.
  • Let me post something on your story.
  • Balance something on your head and walk across the room.

20 for when you have warmed up

  • Read out the last message you sent someone about me.
  • Let me ask one question you have to answer completely honestly.
  • Swap phones for five minutes, no rules.
  • Tell me the story of the moment you knew, in full.
  • Show me a photo of yourself you have never let anyone see.
  • Recreate a photo of us from at least a year ago, properly.
  • Let me write your next social post.
  • Describe me to a stranger in three sentences, out loud.
  • Tell me something you have never told anyone.
  • Let me pick one thing in your wardrobe to throw out.
  • Do a dramatic reading of our last argument, playing both parts.
  • Rank my friends and defend the order.
  • Plan our next weekend entirely, out loud, right now.
  • Tell me the most embarrassing thing that happened to you this year.
  • Let me choose a new nickname for you that sticks for a week.
  • Send a voice note to a friend describing me as if selling me.
  • Confess something you got away with.
  • Show me your notes app.
  • Tell me what you would change about this week.
  • Say the thing you have been meaning to bring up.

20 bolder ones

  • Slow dance with me to whatever is playing, all the way through.
  • Kiss me somewhere I do not expect.
  • Whisper what you are thinking, exactly, no editing.
  • Let me blindfold you for the next three rounds.
  • Tell me what you find most attractive about me, specifically.
  • Take a photo of us right now that we never show anyone.
  • Describe the best night we have had together, in detail.
  • Let me take one item of your choosing off you.
  • Give me a compliment you have never said out loud.
  • Sit with me and hold eye contact for two full minutes without speaking.
  • Tell me the thing you want that you have never asked for.
  • Let me pick where we go next weekend, no veto.
  • Trace something on my back and make me guess what it is.
  • Tell me what you were thinking the first time we kissed.
  • Let me ask three questions with no passes.
  • Do whatever I ask for the next ten minutes, within reason.
  • Tell me something you have been too shy to suggest.
  • Recreate our best moment, as closely as the room allows.
  • Give me your phone and let me set your wallpaper.
  • Say what you want to happen for the rest of tonight.

How to run a good round

Start at the top of the list, not the bottom. The single most reliable way to make this fall flat is opening with the boldest section. It reads as pressure rather than fun.

One pass each, unquestioned. Counter-intuitively, having a free pass makes people braver, because the escape route removes the cornered feeling.

Alternate. Two dares in a row for the same person turns a game into a performance.

Stop while it is still good. Every version of this has a natural end about ten minutes before anyone notices it.

Play it without the list

Truth or Dare deals these one at a time in the browser, free with no download, and you pick the level before you start. If you only want the dares, there is a dedicated page of dare ideas. For something with a scoreboard rather than a deck, Couple Challenges turns it into a contest.
